CBS Remembers Unforgettable

Unforgettable, the psychic drama starring Poppy Montgomery, has
been cancelled, right? After all, CBS announced just last month
that the rookie show would be cancelled. But hold on, everyone.
Don't forget Unforgettable just yet.
Deadline.com reports that CBS is negotiating with
Sony
Pictures TV, which co-produces the show with CBS, to bring it
back for a 13-episode run in the summer of 2013.
The web site reports that Sony has been talking with other
networks about picking up the show after CBS cancelled it. But
apparently CBS isn't through with the show itself.
It's highly unusual for a major network to bring a show back
after cancelling it, particularly when the ink on the
cancellation papers are still drying. But in its first season,
Unforgettable averaged roughly 12 million viewers, which is a
strong showing for a first-year show.
CBS executives said they cancelled Unforgettable because they
wanted to replace with it newer programs.
Sounds like CBS forgot the first rule of TV: If it ain't broke,
don't fix it.
