CBS Axes A Gifted Man; Cougar Town Goes to TBS

Washington, D.C. (May 11, 2012) -- CBS last night cancelled the rookie drama, A Gifted Man, which starred Patrick Wilson as a doctor who was visited by the ghost of his late wife.

The show, which aired Friday nights, suffered from uneven ratings throughout its first season.

In other show renewal news, ABC announced that the comedy Cougar Town is moving to TBS. The cable network has agreed to air 15 new episodes of the show, starting in early 2013.

NBC yesterday renewed 30 Rock, Community, Parenthood, Grimm and Fashion Star. ABC renewed Dancing With the Stars, Shark Tank, The Bachelor, Castle, Revenge, Once Upon a Time, Modern Family, The Middle, Suburgatory and Grey's Anatomy.

Fox renewed Family Guy and American Dad, but postponed a decision on The Cleveland Show. The network also cancelled I Hate My Teenaged Daughter and Breaking In.

The networks are expected to make more renewal/cancellation announcements today and next week.
