In round one of the Plasma division of HDTV Hottie Hysteria -- our first annual elimination tournament to determine the hottest female star in high-def -- we pit Simpson (fourth seed in the Plasma division) against Lopez (fifth seed).

Jessica (above), the singer/actress, has achieved a reputation as one of Hollywood's hottest catches, dating quarterback Tony Romo among other celebrities.

But J-Lo (above), another singer who turned to acting, is not likely to be left behind, if you catch our meaning.
