DIRECTV has committed to carrying the channel.

DIRECTV has said it would carry the high-def channel, but until now it's been unclear when it would actually launch.
David Schwarz, a Spike TV spokesman, told TVPredictions.com on Friday that the HD simulcast of the standard-def Spike TV would be added in the first quarter of next year.

Spike TV's Sexiest Bartender.
Spike TV, which is owned by MTV Networks, offers a lineup of male-oriented programming such as Casino Cinema, MuscleCar, Sexiest Bartender, Pros vs. Joes and repeats of Star Trek; Voyager.
The high-def version of Spike TV is likely to provide more competition from MOJO, the HD network owned by a cable consortium, which is also targeting the young male audience.
