Washington Nationals Release 2010 Spring Schedule

Washington, D.C. (December 3, 2009) -- The Washington Nationals have released their 2010 Spring Training Schedule which includes a home game against the World Champion New York Yankees on March 12 at Space Coast Stadium in Viera, Florida and an April 3rd Nationals Park contest against the Boston Red Sox.

The spring training season will begin with two March 4th split squad games against the Florida Marlins in Jupiter, Florida and the Houston Astros in Kissimmee, Florida and end with the Red Sox game in DC.

The Nats will play 32 spring training games, including 15 at Space Coast Stadium. The Florida home opener will be March 6 against the Mets.

In a press release issued today, the National said Viera ticket prices will go from $10 for Reserved Bleachers up to $24 for Batter's Box Seats, which include sections closest to the field inside the baselines.

Tickets will be available on January 23 at 10 a.m. and can be purchased online at nationals.com or by calling the Space Coast Stadium box office at 321-633-9200. The Nationals said ticket sales for the Yankees game on March 12 will be announced later.

Tickets for the Red Sox game at Nationals Park will be made available to the public when individual game tickets for the 2010 season go on sale in February.

Pitchers and catchers will report to Viera on February 19 while position players will report February 24. The first full-squad workout will be February 26, the team said.
