November 23: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

Washington, D.C. (November 23, 2008) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 30 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

 Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Sunday, November 23, 2008: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are four of them!

 1. NFL Football
The season enters week twelve. Check your local listings for times and teams.
CBS, Fox, starting at 1 p.m.

2. 60 Minutes
The motley crew of veteran journalists examine the issue of Iraqi war widows who face deportation, among other topical concerns.
 CBS, 7 p.m.

 3. 24: Redemption
Jack is back for a two hour special. Tonight, America's favorite terrorist-torturing agent goes to Africa to stop a warlord from recruiting children for his army. ("Put the kid down -- now!") Jon Voight and Robert Carlyle co-star. (Sorry, no Elisha Cuthbert until season seven starts in January.)
Fox, 8 p.m.

4. 2008 American Music Awards
Jimmy Kimmel hosts from the Nokia Theater in Los Angeles. Performers include: Beyonce Knowles, Christina Aguilera, The Pussycat Dolls, New Kids on the Block, Pink, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, The Fray, Annie Lennox and the Jonas Brothers. The New Kids on the Block? Yes, it's true.

ABC, 8 p.m.

5. NFL Football
Indianapolis at San Diego.
NBC, 8:15 p.m.

 6. Dexter (new)
The program descript says Dexter's friendship with Miguel (Jimmy Smits) is strained. Uh-oh.
Showtime, 9 p.m.

7. True Blood (new)
 Season finale. Anna Paquin stars as Sookie, a psychic waitress who falls under the spell of a 173-year-old vampire; the chick digs older guys, I guess. And I do mean, 'digs.' New vampire series is from Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball. Tonight, Sookie thinks she's found a link to the serial killer.

HBO, 9 p.m.

8. Cold Case
Kathryn Morris gets the skinny (and, boy, is she skinny!) on the 1953 murder of a famous pin-up girl. 1953 pin-up girl? It must be sweeps month.
CBS, 9 p.m.

 9. Californication (new)
Hank, a sex-addicted Hollywood type played by a real-life sex-addicted Hollywood type (David Duchovny), declines an offer, according to the program descript. Well, I guarantee you that it's not a sexual offer. This guy will Californicate with anyone.

10. Entourage (new)
Season finale. Program descript: "The guys party in New York while Ari approaches Gus Van Sant about casting Vince in a new movie.." Street puddles are deeper than these boys.
