However, because of the life-like picture, celebrities who are naturally beautiful look even better in high-def. Their hair, skin and smile seem to take on an extra radiance in HDTV.
At TVPredictions.com, I have written extensively on how celebrities look better -- or worse -- in high-def. (See Swanni's 2005 HDTV 'Horribles' and 'Honeys'.) But now I am publishing a new list -- Swanni's 10 Sexiest Women in HDTV!
These 10 TV actresses are so 'HDTV hot' that they could break up your marriage with a single flip of the remote. So, now, here are Swanni's 10 Sexiest Women in HDTV!

1. Eva Longoria
Desperate Housewives, ABC, Sundays at 9 p.m.
Longoria is currently dating pro basketball point guard Tony Parker, but in high-def, she's the center of attention. The Texas-born actress is so sexy in the HDTV broadcast of Desperate Housewives that she must make her co-stars desperately jealous. Her skin simply glows on screen. And how about that body of work?
2. Mischa Barton
The O.C., Fox, Thursdays at 8 p.m.
The London born actress reportedly flashed her breast while getting out of bed in a recent episode of the steamy Fox soap. The coming-out party, which was partially obscured by dark shadows in regular analog TV, looked magnificent in crystal-clear high-def. Which makes me think that FCC Chairman Kevin Martin, who's pushing a pro-decency platform, first needs to get a HDTV so he can more closely monitor what's going on.
3. Nikki Cox
Vegas, NBC, Mondays at 9 p.m.
NBC's HD production of Vegas is gorgeous, thanks in no small part to the well-blessed Ms. Cox. If what happens in Vegas stays there, I hope Nikki stays there forever.
Do you remember that movie, The Cooler, in which William H. Macy is so unlucky that he can make casino players lose by just standing next to them? Well, send Nikki over to their table and they wouldn't be able to keep their eyes on their cards. "21, you say? Well, I only see 38-21-34."
4. Jennifer Garner
Alias, ABC, on hiatus, season finale in May
After five seasons, ABC is canceling the spy drama starring the incredible Mrs. Ben Affleck. But any HDTV owner would still like to go undercover with the Alias star. Garner has beautiful skin and her lips look like they belong in a produce stand: juicy, full and ripe.
By the way, I blame Affleck for the show's demise. As soon as Ben and Jen tied the knot, Alias' ratings began to slide, much like the box office numbers for a Ben Affleck movie. If they want to make The Cooler 2, dump Macy and hire Afflleck.
5. Alexis Dziena
Invasion, ABC, Wednesdays at 10 p.m.
Anyone who saw Bill Murray's Broken Flowers knows all about the charms of Alexis Dziena. The 21-year-old actress stunned Murray's character -- and the movie audience -- by suddenly showing up full-frontal naked in an early scene. (No, that had nothing to do with the flowers being broken.)
So long as Kevin Martin is watching, Dziena will keep her clothes on in Invasion, but she still looks great in high-def. Her eyes are so illuminating that they look like they're in 3-D.
