By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (November 12, 2009) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Thursday, November 12, 2009: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 5 of them!

1
. The Express
Rob Brown stars as the ill-fated running back Ernie Davis who died of leukemia shortly after being drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 1962. The film also chronicles Davis' struggle with racism in 1950s America, a road well traveled in cinematic history. But the feel-good spirit of the story and Dennis Quaid's solid performance as Davis' college coach makes The Express well worth tuning in early on a Thursday night.
Cinemax, 6:20 p.m.

2. College Football

South Carolina at Rutgers.

ESPN, 7:30 p.m.

CW, 8 p.m.

5. Survivor (new)
Program descript: "One castaway kills a rat so his tribe can eat." And who says reality shows aren't socially redeeming? By the way, will John Waters direct tonight's episode?
CBS, 8 p.m.

Bonus Pick:
Bones
Program descript: "Brennan and Booth investigate the death of a dwarf who was a wrestling star." Never thought Bones would stoop this low to improve ratings during sweeps month. Well, in a manner of speaking.

Deschanel.
Fox, 8 p.m.

Fringe
The Fringe team finally determines a link between the mysterious Massive Dynamic and the series of unexplained episodes sweeping the nation...No, the series of unexplained episodes in the show, folks.
