November 20: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (November 20, 2008) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 30 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Thursday, November 20, 2008: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are five of them!

1. College Football
Miami at Georgia Tech

ESPN, 7:30 p.m.

2. My Name Is Earl
(new)
Earl loses his Karma list while Catalina and Patty have a religious experience. The latter plot sounds interesting.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Earl's Jaime Pressly.

NBC, 8 p.m.

3. Ugly Betty (new)
Program descript: "Daniel discovers an attraction to Molly." Oh really? That discovery will probably take longer than Columbus' trip to the Americas, if you know what I mean, UB fans.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of UB's Rebecca Romijn.
ABC, 8 p.m.

4. Survivor: Gabon (new)
The adventure reality series returns for its 17th season and -- for the first time ever -- it's in beautiful HD! Tonight, another castaway is eliminated. Oh, the humanity!
CBS, 8 p.m.

6. Get Out!
Lindsay Clubine's search for a co-host is down to three finalists who just happen to decide to party the night away in Mexico!
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Lindsay Clubine.
HDNet, 8:30 p.m.

7. Grey's Anatomy
(new)

Program descript: "Meredith, Bailey and Cristina help Lexie and Sadie when a routine surgery goes awry." Three doctors are needed to help Lexie and Sadie? Sounds like that surgery goes more than "awry."
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of GA's Katherine Heigl.
ABC, 9 p.m.

8. 30 Rock (new)
The program descript says Steve Martin shows up for a guest star appearance as a crazy businessman. Shouldn't that be a "wild and crazy" businessman? And where's Aykroyd?

NBC, 9:30 p.m.

9. Life On Mars
Detective Sam Tyler (Jason O'Mara) is transported to 1973 New York where he helps the police find a killer who may still be killing in 2008. Wouldn't it be easier to just stay in 2008 and catch him there? Oh, well...Tonight: Sam investigates the kidnapping of a prominent family's baby. Sounds like Sam set the Time Travel machine to 1932.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Life's Gretchen Mol.
ABC, 10 p.m.

10. Late Night With David Letterman
Tonight's guests: The overrated Stephen Colbert, and actress Kristen Stewart who wanders by to hawk her new film, Twilight, which opens Friday.
CBS, 11:35 p.m.
