Washington, D.C. (December 11, 2008) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 30 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

Boston Celtics vs the hapless Washington Wizards. Yes, that's right. They have no hap whatsoever.

2. Survivor: Gabon (new)
The adventure reality series returns for its 17th season and -- for the first time ever -- it's in beautiful HD! Tonight, another castaway is eliminated! Oh, the humanity!

3. My Name Is Earl (new)
Earl discovers that Joy is pulling a holiday scam on her friends. Well, Joy to the world, I guess.

Laurence Fishburne joins the cast as a master criminal pathologist who helps track down a serial killer. Of course, it's CBS primetime where serial killers rule!

8. House of Saddam
No, it's not a documentary on your neighborhood carpet store. It's a four-part docudrama on the Butcher of Baghdad himself! Tonight, parts one and two. Parts three and four are this Sunday. And if I recall correctly, Saddam himself will become parts by the time the series ends.
HBO, 9 p.m.


9. NBA Basketball

Portland at Utah.
TNT, 10:30 p.m.


10. The Tonight Show With Jay Leno (new)
Tonight's guest: Tom Cruise wanders by to hawk his new film, Valkyrie.
