The company today announced a deal with Internet movie service Jaman.com that will enable it to provide the movies over Broadband connections on the Series 2 and Series 3 DVRs.
TiVo did not give an exact launch date for when the Jaman movies will be offered.
The company said the indie movies will be available for both rental and purchase, starting at $1.99; some films will be offered for free.
Jaman's catalogue of indie films includes Loverboy, starring Kyra Sedgwick, La Promesse and All About Lily Chou-Chou.
"The combination of High-Definition content from Jaman, with the convenience and familiarity of TiVo’s intuitive interface, will provide users with the ability to discover and enjoy films from around the world,” TiVo said today in a statement.
