Washington, D.C. (September 10, 2006)
-- Looking for TNT HD on DIRECTV today? Well, you can stop
looking until 8 p.m. ET tonight.
The satcaster has removed TNT's high-def channel today to
make room for the additional HD broadcasts of football's NFL
Sunday Ticket. However, DIRECTV will return the
channel to the lineup at 8 p.m. ET after the games are
finished.
DIRECTV officials have acknowledged that its current
satellites have little room available for additional HD
networks. However, it will soon launch two new satellites to
expand their high-def lineups.
