The four shows are: Oprah Winfrey, Entertainment Tonight, The Insider and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. All will make their high-def debuts on Monday.
Dr. Phil, another popular daytime syndicated show, is expected to switch to high-def this month as well. (The show issued a press release earlier this year saying the HD debut would come on September 8, but there is no indication today at the show's web site or related web sites that the switch will occur today. TV listings services also do not list Dr. Phil as being offered in HD.)
Although the shows will be produced in HD, not all local stations are likely to begin broadcasting them in high-def on Monday. Due to various technical issues and lack of equipment upgrades, some local stations are not equipped to offer syndicated shows in HD.

Catch Paris in high-def on Entertainment Tonight.
The Oprah Winfrey Show's first high-def program tomorrow will feature U.S. winners from the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.
The switch of four top-rated syndicated programs to high-def will likely further even more awareness of High-Definition programming and related products, such as TV sets, off-air antennas and pay TV subscriptions.
