Swanni's Predicts: 8 TV Trends That Will Stay Or Go
By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (March 14, 2013) - As the publisher of, I write several articles every day about the latest developments in TV technology. Most of the articles focus on a single event, describing a TV technology product or service a company has introduced.

However, I feel it's my duty to occasionally step back from the daily news and provide some critical analysis on the chances that those products will succeed. My analysis is based on nearly two decades of experience in the TV technology field, both as a journalist, author, and, for a shorter time, an employee of Sony Electronics.

Consequently, today, I am publishing my perspective on eight prominent trends in TV technology. They are:

1. 4K Ultra HD
2. Cord Cutting
3. Streaming
4. Retransmission/TV Channel Blackouts
5. TV Everywhere
6. Viewing On Mobile Devices
7. Increase in TV Viewing
8. Untraditional TV Producers

In each article, I offer some background on the subject and my forecast on whether I think the trend will survive or become an historical footnote. In other words, will it stay or go?

With that preface out of the way, let's go to the first trend. To read it, click:
1. 4K Ultra HD.
