Washington, D.C. (March 31, 2008) -- High-Definition TVs are now in roughly 30 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch?

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Tuesday, April 1, 2008: (All times Eastern; smart remarks are the opinion of the author alone.)

1. I Think I Love My Wife
Chris Rock stars and directs this film about a happily married man who's tempted to cheat with a friend's ex-girlfriend.
HBO, 8 p.m.

2. NCIS (repeat)
The team tracks down a survivalist in the woods. Do survivalists ever hide anywhere else but the woods? Just once, couldn't they hide at a shopping mall?
CBS, 8 p.m.

3. NBA Basketball
The Denver Nuggets play the Phoenix Suns. Hope the scoreboard is well-oiled.
MOJO, NBA TV, 8 p.m.

4. American Idol
The 9 finalists compete -- and Dolly Parton and her breasts will show up to help coach them. She will coach the 9 finalists, not her breasts.
Fox, 8 p.m.

5. Dan Rather Reports
The veteran journalist takes the high-def cameras to the Texas-Mexico border to investigate plans to build a fence to prevent illegal immigration.
HDNet, 8 p.m.
