Washington, D.C. (June 29, 2010) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Tuesday, June 29, 2010: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 6 of them!

1. Tennis
Wimbledon, women's quarterfinals.

ESPN 2, 7 a.m.

2. World Cup Soccer
Games and coverage all day, starting at 9:30 a.m. with Japan vs. Paraguay.
Univision, ESPN, 9:30 a.m.

Obsessed
Idris Elba (Stringer Bell from The Wire) stars as a smooth corporate executive and family man whose life spins out of control when a beautiful office temp turns into a temptress. Al Larter (Heroes) plays the obligatory hot temp while Beyonce Knowles also stars as Elba's obligatory hot wife. The film is as predictable as it gets, but the eye candy is sweet and the final 'cat fight' between Larter and Knowles is worthy of the WWE.

Starz, 7:05 p.m.

3. Baseball: College World Series
Game two. Teams to be announced. By whom, I'm not sure, but they will be announced.
ESPN, 7:30 p.m.

4. Wipeout (new)
ABC's quest to prove it can be just as trashy as Jeff Zucker's NBC continues tonight with its latest game show in which contestants are smacked, bopped and slammed into various bodies of water. Tonight, the network tries to cash in on the World Cup craze with a soccer theme; contestants will dodge the Big Soccer Balls! (Mercury ad babe Jill Wagner, pictured above, is the show's co-host.)

ABC, 8 p.m.

5. 10 Ways to Kill Bin Laden (new)
(One would do actually.) People discuss their involvement in the U.S. effort to eliminate international Public Enemy #1. (Not sure if that crazy guy who was just arrested and released in Pakistan will be among the participants.)
History Channel, 8 p.m.

6. He's Just Not That Into You
Any movie that stars Drew Barrymore, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Anniston and Ginnifer Goodwin -- and is called He's Just Not That Into You -- has to be populated with a male cast that would be eligible for multiple Tony Awards, if you get my meaning. Oh, well, chicks liked it. Wonder why. Think it's because it gives them perverse pleasure to see obligatory hot women getting dumped? Nah.

7. America's Got Talent (new)
And the summer reality bandwagon keeps rolling on. Tonight, the auditions for this American Idol knockoff continue.

Conservative media watchdog alert! Christina disagrees with the hospital's plan not to treat a heroin-addicted patient.
TNT, 9 p.m.

9 Late Night With David Letterman (new)
Tonight's guests include Dolly Parton who will wobble by to hawk her Hallmark TV variety special, which will air July 3.
CBS, 11:35 p.m.

10. The Tonight Show With Jay Leno
Tonight's guests include the suddenly ubiquitous Betty White.
