November 10: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (November 10, 2009) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Tuesday, November 10, 2009: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 5 of them!

1. College Football
Ohio at Buffalo. (By the way, ESPN, what's the fascination with Buffalo? Really, 2 weeks in a row you've aired their home game in this time slot?; it's not like we're talking Notre Dame here -- they're 3-6 for goodness' sakes. Is some ESPN producer a Buffalo grad or something?)
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Erin Andrews.

ESPN 2, 7 p.m.

2. V
The Mouse Network dips into the dusty vault of past TV failures and unleashes a remake of the short-lived NBC 1980s sci-fi series featuring reptilian-like aliens disguised as humans. (So that explains the DMV). In tonight's episode,
Erica and Father Jack discover they are being tracked by a Seeker from the V's.
ABC, 8 p.m.

3. Dan Rather Reports
Conservative media watchdog alert! The veteran newsman tonight discusses the state of the economy with big rig truckers.
HDNet, 8 p.m.

4. 90210
(new)
No, it's not the average number of people who watch a CW show. It's everyone's frothy fave from the 1990s, now all grown up and with a new cast of teen idols. Tonight, the program descript says: "Annie (Shenae Grimes) decides to take her relationship with drug dealer Jasper to the next level." And I don't think that means going upstairs.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of 90201's AnnaLynne McCord.

CW, 8 p.m.

Bonus Pick:
NCIS
The team helps Vance face his demons.
CBS, 8 p.m.

5. Dancing With the Stars (new)
America's favorite dancing soap opera continues with a B celebrity lineup overflowing with such has-beens and wanna-bes as Aaron Carter (who?) Mya (who??) Donny Osmond, Joanna Krupa and Kelly Osborne. Michael Irvin, Kathy Ireland, Tom 'The Hammer' Delay, Natalie Coughlin, Debi Mazur, Chuck Liddell, Melissa Joan Hart, Louie Vito (who?) and Ashley Hamilton (George's feminine-sounding son) have gotten the boot -- and tonight another celebrity will be eliminated! Plus, Susan Boyle will sing!. Oh, the humanity!
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Joanna Krupa.
ABC, 9 p.m.

6. Melrose Place

The network for the saucy set brings back another primetime soap from the 1990s. The basic ingredients here are the same --  lots of bitchy dialogue and bed hopping -- but the new hottie cast includes Katie Cassidy, Jessica Lucas, Stephanie Jacobsen and Ashlee Simpson. We thought Heather Locklear had moved out of the Melrose Place condo complex, but she's targeted for a November return. Laura Leighton is back as the landlord. She'll have her hands full; maybe literally in some episodes.

Tonight's program descript says the police are searching for Auggie. If you believe the news reports, they're likely to find him with Ashlee Simpson in the unemployment line.
CW, 9 p.m.

7. The Jay Leno Show (new)
Tonight's guests include NBC game show host Howie Mandel. Yup, that will get the ratings up.
NBC, 10 p.m.

8. The Good Wife
Julianna Margulies stars as the wife of a scandal-plagued politician who must restart her career as a defense attorney after the hubbie is disgraced once again. Well, if she's looking to associate herself with a better class of people, it won't be in the courtroom, let me tell ya. Exhibit A: Tonight's program descript says "While representing the daughter of one of the firm's partners, Alicia (Margulies) becomes attracted to her co-counsel and his unorthodox approach to defending their client." Yeah, no conflict of interest there...
CBS, 10 p.m.

9. The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien
Tonight's guests include Jessica Biel who will wander by to hawk her upcoming film, Valentine's Day, or maybe just to flash a little leg for Mr. O'Brien.
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Jessica Biel.
NBC, 11:35 p.m.

10. Late Night With David Letterman
Tonight's guests include animal handler Jack Hanna. Yeah, but can he handle Dave?; the female staffers there say he can be an animal, too. (Shakira will come by to shake her hips and warble a tune; Dave will like that.)
CBS, 11:35 p.m.
