By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (November 24, 2009) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Tuesday, November 24, 2009: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 5 of them!

1. College Football
Ball State vs. Western Michigan.

ESPN 2,  7 p.m.

2. V
The Mouse Network dips into the dusty vault of past TV failures and unleashes a remake of the short-lived NBC 1980s sci-fi series featuring reptilian-like aliens disguised as humans. (So that explains the DMV). In tonight's episode, alien Anna (how's that for alliteration?!) meets with a special guest aboard the Mother ship.
ABC, 8 p.m.

3. Dan Rather Reports
Conservative media watchdog alert! The veteran newsman tonight investigates how the IMF helped saved the world from financial collapse. IMF, by the way, stands for International Monetary Fund; not Impossible Mission Force, TV fans.
HDNet, 8 p.m.

4. 90210

No, it's not the average number of people who watch a CW show. It's everyone's frothy fave from the 1990s, now all grown up and with a new cast of teen idols. Tonight, the program descript says: "Liam tries to apologize to Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord, pictured right)." If I were Liam, I would pick a daytime setting; more likely to get through, if you know what I mean.

CW, 8 p.m.

Bonus Pick:
NCIS
The team puts off its Thanksgiving plans to investigate the death of a Marine.
CBS, 8 p.m.

5. Dancing With the Stars (new)
Season finale! America's favorite dancing soap opera finally comes to its dramatic final night. Who will win? Mya? Donny Osmond?  Kelly Osborne? The company that provides all those cans of fake tan spray? You'll have to tune in to find out! -- or just read the paper on Wednesday like most people.

ABC, 9 p.m.

6. Doubt

Meryl Streep and Philip Seymour Hoffman shine in this cinematic adaptation of the hit Broadway play about a popular priest who's suspected of child abuse. Amy Adams is also strong in support as a young nun who's caught in the middle of truth and perception. Good film.

Starz, 9 p.m.

7. The Jay Leno Show (new)
Tonight's guests include Charles Barkley and the latest loser from NBC's weight-loss program, The Biggest Loser. Dear God, Jay is going to need bigger chairs tonight.
NBC, 10 p.m.

8. The Good Wife
Julianna Margulies stars as the wife of a scandal-plagued politician who must restart her career as a defense attorney after the hubbie is disgraced once again. Well, if she's looking to associate herself with a better class of people, it won't be in the courtroom, let me tell ya. Exhibit A: Tonight's program descript says "Alicia (Margulies) is asked to represent a partner in the firm who's facing a DUI charge."

CBS, 10 p.m.

9. The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien
Tonight's guests include model Marisa Miller who will wander by to hawk the upcoming CBS special, Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.
