Time Warner to Expand HD In NY Area
Brooklyn, Queens and Mount Vernon to get more channels.

Washington, D.C. (October 7, 2008) -- Time Warner has announced at its web site that it will expand its high-def lineups in the New York areas of Brooklyn, Queens and Mount Vernon on October 22.

Brooklyn, Queens and Mount Vernon subscribers will get
the Big Ten Network HD, CBS College Sports HD, ESPNU HD, the Tennis Channel HD as well as 17 new premium movie channels, including six different HBO HD channels, seven different Cinemax HD networks, two Showtime HD channels and two HD versions of The Movie Channel.

Time Warner will add the Cartoon Network HD, FX HD and Speed HD in Brooklyn and Queens on October 22.

And Mount Vernon residents will get two additional Showtime HD channels, three additional Starz HD channels and the following high-def non-premium channels:
Cartoon Network, Discovery HD, Fox Business News HD, Fox News HD, FX HD, TLC HD, Palladia HD, Travel Channel HD, Weather Channel HD, ESPN News HD, and the NHL Network HD.

There was no mention of new HD channel launches in Manhattan.
