Well, stop looking and start waiting. Warner Home Video says that it will purposely delay the release of its top holiday titles until the last minute, according to Home Media Magazine.
Warner CFO John Martin told an industry conference last week that the studio believes that consumers will delay their holiday shopping this year due to the recession.

Consequently, Warner thinks that it
will generate more sales if it
releases major titles such as The
Hangover and Harry Potter and the
Half-Blood right before consumers
get serious about shopping. (Both
titles made more than $200 million
at the box office.)
Terminator: Salvation is the only
major Warner title that has been
given a release date: December 1.
“We
are purposely putting our titles
into the retail channel later in the
fourth quarter to try and take
advantage of what we believe will be
the optimal foot traffic trends in
retail,” Martin said.
