Warner Offers DVD/Blu-ray Trade-In
TVPredictions.com

Washington, D.C. (November 18, 2009) -- Warner Home Video is offering DVD owners an opportunity to upgrade about 50 titles to Blu-ray for as little as $7.95 per disc.

The way the program works is that the DVD owner goes to Warner's site, DVD2Blu.com, selects a title and then mail in their standard-definition version of the movie.

Warner says the Blu-ray version will be shipped back to the DVD owner within 4 to 5 weeks. The cost per title varies, but the trade-ins start at $7.95. (Most titles are roughly 50 percent less than if the person purchased it on Blu-ray without the trade-in.)
