November 12: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

Washington, D.C. (November 12, 2008) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 30 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Wednesday, November 12, 2008: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are five of them!


1. NBA Basketball
Portland at Miami.

ESPN, 8 p.m.

2. The 42nd Annual CMA Awards
Presenters include Alan Jackson, Carrie Underwood (co-host), Taylor Swift, Kenny 'The Fraud' Chesney, Nicole Kidman and Mr. Nicole Kidman, Keith Urban.

3. Bones (new)
Program descript: "
Brennan (Emily Deschanel) agrees to go on a date with Booth's younger brother at a White House function." Be careful, Brennan, I think they are still leery of young fellas named Booth at that place.

Fox, 8 p.m.

4. The Ultimate Trailer Show
Tonight, Texas-based film critic Robert Wilonsky reviews the trailer for Quantum of Silence and past James Bond films.
HDNet, 8 p.m.

5. Knight Rider (new)
A criminal duo with congressional connections threatens to reveal Knight Industries' top secrets. They must know Henry Waxman.
NBC, 8 p.m.

6. Friday Night Lights (new)
TV's best drama is back -- exclusively on DIRECTV's channel 101. (Episodes will air in early 2009 on NBC.) Tonight, Billy helps his brother Tim get a college scholarship; must be a scholarship to the School of Hard Knocks. That Billy's not exactly an upstanding individual. Also, Jason Street says goodbye to Dillon.

7. Criminal Minds (new)
Dr. Reid investigates a Las Vegas murder that might be connected to his own childhood.

The team investigates a murder that took place at a New York art house that's sailing up the East River. Huh, usually, the New York murder victims are sailing up the East River.

CBS, 10 p.m.

9. NBA Basketball
Houston at Phoenix.

10. The Tonight Show With Jay Leno
Tonight's guests: Steve Carell and Beck.
