 November 18: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

Washington, D.C. (November 18, 2009) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 40 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Wednesday, November 18, 2009: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are 3 of them!

1. NBA Basketball
Cleveland at Washington.
ESPN, 7 p.m.

2. College Football
Central Michigan at Ball State.
ESPN 2, 8 p.m.

 3. The Ultimate Trailer Show (new)
Texas-based film critic Robert Wilonsky tonight reviews trailers for two big films coming in December, Avatar (directed by James Cameron) and Invictus (directed by Clint Eastwood.)
HDNet, 8 p.m.

 4. Mercy (new)
 Taylor Schilling and Michelle Trachtenberg star as nurses in this new drama that promises to look at hospital life through the eyes of the aforementioned female assistants. Tonight's program descript: "Chloe (Michelle Trachtenberg) discovers a nasty secret about her boyfriend."
Well, the show may be through the eyes of the nurses, but it appears that their eyes are still on the guys.

NBC, 8 p.m.

5. Red Cliff
Directed by the great John Woo, this war film set in 13th Century China has been called "mindblowing" by the Tampa Newspaper syndicate and "gripping" by the Huffington Post. And HDNet Movies has it first before it's released in theaters on November 20.

6. Criminal Minds (new)
Copyright attorney alert! The crew tonight interviews a prolific serial killer who's behind bars to get insight into yet another serial killer. Hmm, paging Dr. Lecter. Paging...Thomas Harris.
CBS, 9 p.m.

Friday Night Lights (new)
 After getting the green light for two more seasons at NBC and DIRECTV, America's best drama is back!  In tonight's show, Tim and Matt go hunting (no, not for chicks); Landry and Vince fight over the same girl; and Coach Taylor investigates the sorry state of East Dillon.

7. NBA Basketball
San Antonio at Dallas.
ESPN, 9:30 p.m.

8. The Jay Leno Show (new)
Tonight, Jay, better known as Jeff Zucker's Hail Mary Pass, chats up Larry the Cable Guy.
NBC, 10 p.m.

 9. Late Night With David Letterman (new)
 Tonight's guests include Robert Pattinson who will wander by to hawk New Moon. Also, Dave will perform some stupid human tricks, or rather he will host a segment on the aforementioned. Hard to tell with Dave; he's a walking stupid human trick these days.
CBS, 11:35 p.m.

10. The Tonight Show With Conan O'Brien (new)
Tonight's guests include Heidi Montag and her tagalong hubbie Spencer Pratt who will wander by to hawk anything you got.
