November 26: Swanni's 10 Hottest Shows In HDTV!

By Swanni

Washington, D.C. (November 26, 2008) -- High-Definition TVs are now in more than 30 million U.S. homes and there are scores of high-def programming choices.

But which shows should you watch? And why?

Every day here at TVPredictions.com, I scan the HD programming aisles and serve up 10 programs so good -- so hot! -- that you can't miss them. Sports, movies, primetime comedies and drama -- they're all there and in beautiful high-def.

We call this list, "The Hottest Shows in HDTV!" And here they are for Wednesday, November 26, 2008: (All times Eastern -- and don't forget the link below to today's 'HD Hottie -- in fact, today there are five of them!

Bonus Pick:
The Incredible Hulk
Edward Norton stars as the title creature in an action-packed remake of the 1980s TV series. Liv Tyler plays the obligatory hot girlfriend/scientist while William Hurt chews the scenery into tiny bits as her general/father. (I have more slashing in this descript than an episode of Criminal Minds.)
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Liv Tyler.
HD VOD, cable, satellite, various times.

1. NBA Basketball
Orlando at Philadelphia.

ESPN, 7:30 p.m.

2. Pushing Daisies (new)
Ned, the man who can bring the dead back to life with the touch of a single finger, investigates the case of a millionaire who was killed by someone who hates rich people. Have they interrogated the Obama economic team? (Just kidding, politicos. We make fun of everyone here.)
ABC, 8 p.m.

3. Bones (new)
Program descript: "Brennan's father (Ryan O'Neal) finds a job as a teacher." Ryan O'Neal as a teacher?
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Emily Deschanel.
Fox, 8 p.m.

4. The Ultimate Trailer Show
Tonight, Texas-based film critic Robert Wilonsky reviews the trailers for family-based films; perfect for the holidays.
HDNet, 8 p.m.

5. Casino
Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci star in the Martin Scorsese classic about the glory (and gory) days of Vegas when the Mob ruled with an iron fist. Sharon Stone nearly steals the picture (which would be fitting; there isn't an honest person in the film) as a curvy hustler who knows all the angles.
HDNet Movies, 9 p.m.

Prentiss and Todd go undercover to investigate a serial killer. Ah, CBS, they do love their serial killers in primetime.

8. CSI: NY (new)
Program descript: "
When an unidentified body is found inside a crushed car, the team must extract the bones to identify the victim and find the killer." Yeech, in high-def?

9. True Blood
Anna Paquin stars as Sookie, a psychic waitress who falls under the spell of a 173-year-old vampire; the chick digs older guys, I guess. And I do mean, 'digs.' New vampire series is from Six Feet Under creator Alan Ball. Tonight, Sookie thinks she's found a link to the serial killer. (First aired on Sunday night.)
See our 'HD Hottie' profile of Anna Paquin.
HBO, 10 p.m.
